Hello everyone,

I entered my young female in her first SV show at the end of June. This is my first experience with showing and our first "event" together. I am just looking for some advice on a few things. The host club is amazing and has been super helpful as well.

I am hoping to get a handler to handle her in the ring so I can double, but not sure how to go about locating a handler and what the costs associated with this would be?

Ideally I would like to have a lesson or two BEFORE the show to really get a better understanding of what to expect.

I have her fursaver that we use in training, but should I order a show collar for her instead? She is a year old.

Also, would like a newer leash for this event since all I have is her obedience 4', an 6' agitation/1'wide lead in leather. My old stand-by's do not offer anything over 6' in leather, except for tracking leads which I have and is of course too long.

Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

And just for fun - my sooooo "don't know what I am doing, but I am going to try and stack my dog for fun try of a stack" of my Zefra.

Oops, forgot to mention I am in SW Ontario, Canada. Also, she had just finished swimming in the photo above, hence the wet fur. ;)

Just hire a foreign handler that is in with the judge and you'll do fine ;)

Nice looking dog, I hope you do well!

Hahaha... the judge is actually from Canada and from what I have heard, very nice and honest. :)

Thanks! :)
