"7 little teddy bears for sale born 3/2 /12
3 boys
4 girls
pups are chunky,fluffy and lovable
MAM is a german shepherd
DAD is a husky cross timber wolf
they are both very loving and have excelent tempraments can be seen as they are both mine .deposits taken"

I get the ad is for cross bred puppies so it may not be simple but I noticed the seller states that the sire is a Husky cross "TIMEBER WOLF". That would make the puppies wolf-dog hybrid wouldnt it? Are they not illegal to own and breed in the UK without a licence?

The link to the ad is listed below

Found this but the DEFRA link does not work.

1) it is not illegal to own a wolf hybrid

2) Normal domestic dogs do not require a license, however under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 wild animals and hybrids do require a license . The license are granted by your local council. The council will only be grant a license if they are s satisfied that, it is not contrary to the public interest, that it is safe for you to own such an animal and that there is suitable accommodation to house the animal. They will arrange for a vet to visit your premises and assess whether they are suitable to house such an animal. The license will probably include conditions on where you keep the animal and how you transport it.

Why is it that I doubt that
a) these pups are anything of the kind
and
b) any such license exists

sigh

When is someone going to get advertising live animals in newspaper free ads and internet ad sites BANNED

Gosh, I wonder if this is from the poster on here that was seeking to improve the GSD by breeding her female GSD to a wolf hybrid. People never cease to amaze me...

I just thought the same thing Starrchar! The post a few months ago when the poster asked opinions on breeding a completely untitled, no hip rated dog with ONLY a wolf/wolf hybrid. What idiots

Kaffirdog thats my point the ad says nothing about a license.  So it made me confused. I know you can legally own a hybrid but this "breeder" seems to be selling hybrids illegallly (if they even are Hybrids)

Linda

Not really surprised - I have no doubt that there are many things that we would agree upon :)

I see you got your jiggly paragraphs sorted out LOL.
