A friend of mine tried this food and her dogs did not care for the salmon, she said they turned their noses up at it...  Is your pup eating it at all?

based on all your various posts here everything is URGENT.  Perhaps you should slow down a bit and research what you are planning before acting on it?  Just a few days ago is was URGENT switching to RAW.  In a different thread you received some excellent advise regarding taking your time a bit more.

Hey,

Its always difficult to get the rigt blend for our dogs especially when you have too many options to choose from

From what i have gauged is that a diet should basically compliment the dogs lifestyle. Kibble as far as i know takes a lot of time to digest and therefore should be used carefully. I always make it point to soak the kibble for sometime in chicken soup or something like that before feeding my dog.

Here are a few basic pointers which i follow to the tee

1) Always make sure that the dog gets a constant supply of clean water.

2) The protein content for a dog or rather recommended is 20 to 30 percent. Chicken, lamb, Salmon are good sources apart from pulses...however you also need to be careful with pulses as some dogs might be allergic to the same.

3) Use fibrous food, as it helps with the digestion. Pro biotic youghurt helps.

4) When opting for kibble, then you need to see if it provides the required nutrients depending on the dogs age, size and weight. If i am not wrong Kibble on an average takes 12-14 hrs to digest properly. (Correct me if i am wrong)

5) The consistent use of raw eggs will lead to hair fall and poor growth.

6) Never over do anything. If you want your dog to be on a RAW diet then you need to check if he is capable of digesting the same. For example too much of liver may cause Vitamin A toxicity.

7) Schedule a time to feed your dogs and abide by it.

8) Check his stools regularly.

9) Don't keep changing the dogs diet now and then you would end up causing more harm than good.

Take care of him, see how he fares on a specific diet...his energy levels etc. He is the answer to all your questions. The only thing for you to do is Pay Attention to him.!!

Rahul
