Jaeger is 8 yrs now and shows distinct signs of Degenerative Myelopathy and or spinal problems. He's hanging in there but... sad sad

Vargas kennel is the breeder of his dam (Both Oppie and Bo, since there's a question), but they are not Jaeger's breeder.

As his owner, I agree with Mr Lanting. I love this dog but he's a mess - we are hoping surgery will get the poor creature out of pain.
I am fairly certain his real dam is Vargas Lektro Oppie. Breeder error in paperwork. I met Oppie and saw her nursing this litter - never met Bo.
His breeder, Bill Welsh, owned both Oppie and Bo. Oppie is still being bred so I wish her hips were Xrayed/OFAd. My other dog Frieda has Oppie for a dam, too, and has good hips, unofficially (Xrayed as my pet, just for peace of mind, not OFAd), but I worry about other things. No elbows done yet on her. She is a MESS from immune system related atopic/skin allergies, as is Jaeger.

I saw the radiographs. The dog is 5 yrs old, in much pain, and facing euthanasia. He has other problems, too, but his hips are terrible... one has a severely deformed femoral head. I hope the breeder (Vargas) will re-X-ray his dam and her motherline as well as the sire, to see what their status is now at the older age (they only had OFA-Good when theirs were done).
