Donna (Donni was her call name) was my dog from age 5 months. She was an incredible dog and one that I loved dearly. This was a female with true fighting instinct and she easily achieved SchH 3 all the while I continued to make training mistakes. Yet she was also a loving and very social dog. She had two litters, and unfortunately, in both, produced weak ears in about 50% of the litter. None the less, she did pass on her great temperament and working ability to the pups. She was bred to Baker's Thor, and to Kevin Murrtal. She was multiple times V rated in conformation. Donni also received a very high compliment when she competed successfully for her SchH 3 under SV Judge Helmut König. He said to the crowd watching that if all females "worked as she did", that there would be no problem with the breed. A high compliment indeed! She went to the 2003 Sieger Show and was one of the top performing females in the bitework. Several people commented to me about how she was a "real SchH3". I was proud to have trained her from age five months up to SchH 3.

Donni developed degenerative myelopathy and it progressed rapidly. Sadly, she was euthanized with her life-long companion Baker's Thor who was a year older and who had developed testicular cancer. They went to the Rainbow Bridge on September 18, 2009.

I shall miss them both dearly. RIP Donni and Thor - wait for me. I am coming to walk and run with you again!!!
