I have seen Quentin at shows in Germany both as a young dog and as an adult. In the ring he displays a far-reaching gait and this improves even more when he is off the lead. As a stud dog he believes he is the pack leader, and I believe this is the reason Quentin appears unfocused when not in the first position.

He is the ideal size and very representable of his male line, with a wonderful character and colour. I think Mr Scheerer will keep him in mind until the Sieger Show and subject to a very good Schutzdienst qualification on Friday and also producing a very good quality progeny group, he will then give Quentin his rightful place in the VA group.

And on the German Championship before a few weeks he makes V 8, he didn't looks very well on this day. But I must say the first dogs was from high Quality, Quantum, Ghandi , Zamp , Karat'S Ulk,Flipp, Opal Karanberg ( not so ) Liedo Kuckucksland ( also not good ) and Quentin. Thats says all about Quentin for the Siegershow, I think the best is that he can leave Quentin better at home. That is not a dog for V 30 or so. He can show his progeny group and thats all. I like Quentin too. But the judgers from last years Siegershow not so. Quentin had no luck.

I just wanted to write here, because I see this beutiful comments about Quentin and his sons.
Quentin will come to the Sieger this year. I hope it. But he will never make VA this year, he can't make VA. Mr. Scheerer didn't like so. He must have a very very good progeny group, that he makes a high V. The biggest problem about Quentin is, he didn't can gait in the ring if he is not on first place. Everyone knows this.
This year sieger the SV had bring a new Rule. Every dog that can make VA must be have progeny gropu. Quentin had some good progeny , but I think Mr. Scheerer will never do him in the VA group.

Hi Can, thanks for your answer. Let¿s wait to see Quentin on Sieger 2005. I¿m from Brazil and I have a son of Quentin in my kennel. We just have our national championship last month and he was a Brazilian champion 2005 on his category. So will be perfect if his father appear on VA¿s list this year.

If you had seen the dog, your opinion would be different. He is not feminine at all. Ideal substance and strengh for an absolute medium type dog. A good choice for breeders. However, if your preference is for horses, there are some still around!

You can talk whatever you want about this dog. The true is that it is an absolute correct dog, medium size, medium strenght, good proportions, very goog angulations in front and in the rear, firm, solid, walks soundly with full of spirit. Technically speaking, one of the top three dogs in Germany! Besides, the progenie he so far presented is of a top level in terms of color, spirit, good lines, bones, angulations and movement. This is a dog to be used. A correct dog that may bring balance, refine and elegance to our breeding.

I saw the dog in Ulm, to me correct meduim size is important. His colour is superb, he is better in real life than his photo with a very good forehand hence the far-reaching movement. Absolute meduim size when compared to the big dogs. He has a super topline without the roach and a good croup.
The hind Angulations are correct with no sign of overangulation.

Before people comment on the withdrawal you should have asked the owner. He dod not have sore teeth! He had contracted a virus in his blood two weeks prior to the Sieger Show and was not in top form for a grueling event.

Further to clear the other rumours he and his mother have been tested Heamophilia clear and von Willerbrands clear.

Iam sure he will be fit for next years Sieger.

I didn't say size, I said substance. He's very feminin. But as I said he's greatly build, very proportioned.
We're all entitled to our favourites.

Quentin had 38 kg on his Körung, he is messured 64. At that time he was 21 months old. What do you think a young male of this age should weight? Is it ok to critizise the small number of dogs, who are right in size and not overtyped? Shouldn't we critizise that dogs who are to big? Quentin is very well musceld and boned for his size. I recognized a lot of dogs in the last years, who are big, with a big head, but a lack of bonepower.
If we doesn't accept the medium size dogs, we will never reach the goal to breed top working dogs out of our breeding lines.
People who only try to breed big dogs and big heads are only interested in the Chinese market.

right, his bitwork was one of the best.
i saw him at the ulm as well.

I agree, Quentin did not have any problem with his bite work. I will not go as far as to call it one of the best though :) It was good.
He is a very correct male of medium size. But he lacks substance. He needs to mature and he'll be closest to perfect.

I like to stop any kind of rumours from people without any knowledge.
I saw Quentin's biting work in Ulm by myself.
His biting work was one of the best, although he was one of the youngest competitors. His father always did a good job in biting work and his outstanding mother Mary did her biting work in Bremen, a year with a lot of a2 and a3, much better than average. Without Una Valcuvia there is no mother from a VA male high placed in the open class. The biting work from himself and from his parents is a big plus for this young medium sized dog.
Please inform your self a little bit better before you start dangerous roumors like this.
For me this dog is the Yasco son with the most correct size and the most correct ears.

Quentin is the youngest of the Yasko sons, He comes from a really good mother with a ZW.
Further he is of a good size and strongly pigmented. He should do well for the breed. I decided to use him. I will keep you posted and register his puppies on the database.

Beautiful dog!!! Exact type of Yasko!!! Excellent!!!

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
