AKC allows breeding both male and female dogs up to the age of 12 years at the time of mating. Yes, AKC registers litters from a bitch who was 11 years and 11 months old at the time of mating, and 12 years and one month old at the time of birth of her litter. If this pedigree is correct, that is what happened.
I am inquiring as to whether this is indeed what happened.
