I have had a litter from Santo, and I have also had the pleasure of knowing/working with a few of progeny from other bitches. I have to say this dog is a treasure that more breeders should be taking advantage of. A dry, correctly sized, athletic male with alternative lines, Santo particularly produces firm backs, wonderful fronts, and passes on his high drives and hard temperament, at least in the dogs I have met and have had personal experience with.

Santo was the 2005 Midwest Open Class Conformation Champion under SV Judge Richard Brauch.
He was the 2006 Midwest Working Class Sieger under SV Judge Franz Peter Kaul and the 2008 Midwest Working Class Sieger under SV Judge Rainer Mast.
Santo is now KKL1 Lbz (i.e. for life)

Santo brings very high drive puppies and is recommended by SV Survey Masters Rudiger Mai and Rainer Mast for improving firmness of back, bones, pigment and musculature.

At the 2004 USA Sieger Show, Orschler placed Santo 4th but said in his critique he could have done 2 places better if he had had more ring training. Privately, Orschler commented that Santo was more or less ("ahnlich") about good as Ronaldo von Zellergrund who went Sieger in the Junghund Class

Santo is the 2004 Midwest (USA) Youth Sieger under SV Judge and Swiss Breed Warden and President of the German Shepherd Club of Switzerland, Rene Rudin. Santo has also been placed first by SV Judges Hans Joachim Dux and Morton Goldfarb at other conformation shows.
