I am curious what anyone's experience has been with the "a' stamp programs offered through USA or GSDCA-WDA.  I am curious about turn around time, and if there were any hithces with anything....i.e. anything one should know before sending out everything.  I am reffering to an import dog with SV papers.

I am also curious if, here in the US, if people use the blanks on the back of the SV papers to log the first 10 trails or just a score book?

I am also curious as well.

If you go through USA the turn around time is around 60-70 days.  The requirements are pretty clear from USA, no hitches in my experience.

Second question first.....  I always get scorebooks for my dogs when they arrive.  All have DVG and USA scorebooks.  Copies of the SV papers, if previously titled, get attached to the book to prove prior titles.

It's been a few years since I sent hip and elbow x-rays to be evaluated by the SV.  Read the instructions over what kind of identification is needed on the x-rays carefully.  The SV requires more to be on the films than OFA.  I really don't remember how long it took.

The wait is the hardest.......

Hedi,

I've used the hips program 3 times & the elbow program 1 time. 2 dog's hips were A-1 & 1 was A-2. The elbows were normal. It does take 8 to 10 weeks for results. As posted above, the requirements are listed on the UScA website. I had no problems. 1 dog was an import (Slovak) & the others were born in the USA.  My vet scratched all information right on to the exposure using a paper clip.

Hedi, I would not allow anyone other than an SV judge to make entries/comments on my bitch's pink papers.

How are the two puppies you brought over doing. Keep us posted. Pics?

Okay.  Makes me feel a little bit better about the whole thing.  I think I will also go the scorebook route.  I still have some time with the hips and elbows, but reading these comments makes me feel a little more at ease with sending off the pedigree.

Rik, that is a good point. I have no experience in the American Schutzhund arena...as you know.  Since I am myself an import..lol.  So, I am learning as I am going along.  The pups are doing well.  Growing and learning.  Here is a photo I took on Saturday.  Her coat is in transition at the moment.
