Why is it so hard to find a trainer here in San Antonio? Does anyone know of a trainer here in this area? The only trainers I find are in Austin and they don't even train in Austin! They drive to Hutto, Tx. I will be willing to drive to Austin but cannot go any further. If someone can help I would really appreciate it.

I have been looking and waiting awhile for a schutzhund club to pop up but the only club around S.A is a mondio club..but if I am mistaken I would also love to know.

There used to be a club in San Antonio but it relocated to the Austin area a few years back. I just moved from San Antonio in May and was unable to find anything. The closest is Austin.

 Mondio rules San Antonio ! ! ! ! ! !

To Skie and Jaggirl, maybe we should start a club here in S.A . Hey Jeff mondio is awesome but I am not a malinois owner and most mondio enthusiasts say a german shepherd is built more for schutzhund.

Come to my seminar with Jimmy, you can either bring a dog, or audit. 75 a day for learning to decoy or Jimmy working your dog, or you can do the 30 a day audit, and see some GSD that can do the work and decide for yourself if your dog can do the work. It is going to be a good time.

With any sport logistics is what kills the drive to do it.  We would be glad to see you.

I am no longer in San Antonio. I moved to Washington and I am in a wonderful club here. :)

You "do" schutzhund-you travel.    It is simply a fact of life.  Some people drive 2 hours+ each way to training.  I drive a little over 1 hour regularly and at one time drove 3 1/2 each way.
