I see alot of oversized dogs and sad even in working lines, I see Czech dogs oversized the most often, alot of dogs that arent V rated in conformation in many cases i suspect because of being oversized even some breeders that want very high dollar for their pups,i would hope we as breeders are careful not to bred oversized, too many big dogs loose speed and mobilty and thus downgrades the idea worker size,55 to 75 not too bad of range but even better still in my opinion best target range 60 to 65 range

The height of my Female is 57.5 cms, weight as said 63lb, now 20 months old she may fill out a bit more but i do not think she will put on a lot more weight. I think is just about right as she is, However mentally she still has to mature more.

keeping in mind that a GSD is a MEDIUM sized breed ... our bitches are between 58-68 pounds. The old time trainers say that a handler should be able to EASILY toss a working dog over a fence and into the back of your truck. ( of course we expect the dog to do it themselves but it was just a general weight guidline) Hope that helps.

I have a female of the swedish and belgium, geman lines and she is very small I have never seen a gsd that small she weighs about 23-24 kg and think she is about 54-55 cm
she is though alot faster and more agile than most gsd and she jumps like a cat silently and not so clumsy as you often see with the bigger dogs
