How t insert pedigree info - Page 1

I have 3 generations of certified pedigrees that are not being accepted as I type them into the sire and dam spaces of my registered dog. How do I fill in this info - it will not take the AKC number or registered name from the AKC certificate.

Send me the dogs information privately. Breed, name, sire, dam to start with. You might be trying to enter duplicate names

I have the same problem with 2 dogs now it had left empty spaces

The problem that toolop8 had, was that he was trying to add data to a dog in the 3rd generation of his dog, and that dog had been created by someone else. When this happens, you have to request "Edit Rights". You do this by
For the dog that you want to add information ..say name is Sue XXXXX
Click on the Green "EDIT Sue XXXXX"
Click on “Click here to request edit rights for Sue XXXXX”
Fill in the form
An Admin will review your request and you should have your edit rights within a day unless there is some problem.

Remember PDB does not contain all the dogs in the world. Only those added by our members and PDB admins. But it does have many dogs and you will often run into this. You just have to ask for EDIT RIGHTS for each dog that you did not create.
