Hello. My dog was having abdominal issues, so I had her stomach xrayed to make sure she didn't eat anything she wasn't supposed to. (Turned out to be horrible gas.) Her hips are in the xray, and I was wondering if I could get others' opinions on them. She wasn't sedated, so the hips are tilted badly, but I still think they would look good if they were taken properly.

Left side of our screen: shallow hip socket, with this x-ray I might guess fair.
Right side of our screen: hip socket and conformation of socket looks better I would guess good. However due to this x-ray it is only my guess. How old is this dog? Is this near her season, either before or after... just curious. some say that it could make a difference. Hope she feels better...Nan

She's three, almost four. This was around her season. She's doing a lot better now that I've taken her off chicken. Poor thing, though. Her gas was so bad, she would cry for hours and touching her abdomen caused her to cry, also.

PS: watch her for bloat...

How much chicken did you give her? Was it starting to go bad? Give smaller amounts and give Phazyme. Probiotics and digestive enzymes help with that, too.
