Are you using an Adblocker of any sort?
Today there was a JAVA update, but earlier I still got the redirect. I also use a program that allows me to limit connectivity to and from my network, as well. Similar to what an Adblocker might do, I surmise. I strictly limited those accesses and was also able to enable and use JAVA, then with no redirects.
And the above is specific to the newest generation of IPad. My older iPad had no such issue with JAVA enabled.
The issue is sneaky with different products and platform targets. What might be in common is an ad that uses JAVA that creates the problem. Eliminating one or the other becomes the solution. My theory, at least.
