Dear friends I wonder if this girl is a long coat as the breeder told me or not. Thanks in advance. (She is 72 d. old)

She is a very pretty puppy.  Yes she is almost certainly a 'coat' - I suspect she will

grow to be a 'longstockhair' type [rather than one with the very long loose open coat]

so you will need to get her used to being thoroughly groomed without protest,  from

a very young age !   I have had years taking care of several such GSDs and believe

me the grooming can be tricky,  they will collect all sorts of  burrs and other vegetative

stuff in that coat,  and it can work itself into some good ol' knots [especially on their legs,

belly and behind their ears].  On the other hand you may be lucky and get a coat texture

which is easier to maintain, but either way they are more work than a stock coat.  Cry Smile

But you presumably asked for a longcoat pup, the way you phrased your question, so I

wish you the best of luck with that.  Hope she is everything you wanted and that you have

a lot of fun with her.  Regular SmileDog
