Gauda and Abby

Last night, Abby still had fight in her , love for us , and even though many tumors had come up on her causing her to not be able to walk very well, and her ears had fallen due to the scratching of the ones behind her ears, she still had her FOOD drive , and her great hard grip , that were inherited from her Gr Grand Dad, Orthos v Tiekerhook. My son , sat in floor to feed Abby , her last meal and she ate with vigor, but standing was hard , and then she showed Heith , she was never gonna give up her TUG or give in to anyone taking it away..

She slept on Heiths feet , in the office at our vet, while he waited for the time to say good bye..He buried her at home where all her family was waiting for her to join them..Heith texted me and said RIP , she is ok now.

Abby had all the drives, all the love and was one of the most calm, loyal gsd you could own..SHE never showed any agression until it was time for bitework.

Her tug , her balls and her love for the play drive gave us all years of healthy joy..SHE has never been to the vet but one time in her years and has been bitten by three copperheads

GSDtravels was here when she had her last litter of pups , after being bit by a copperhead two times in one week..She lost three pups born dead because of the heavy meds we gave her to combat the snake bite, but she raised 4 other beautiful progheny.

I told her good bye yesterday and will always remember her like this and this picture was taken last night , as she had to sit down finally to hold the tug that she never let go..Heith gave it to her after a long tug...SHE had a meal of beef and gravy and left this world with a Love that will never be forgotten by our family.
