Just wanted to get an opinion on these films. I see a lot of people do that here, and everyone seems pretty knowledgable. Dog (male) is 12 months old.

So sorry but these hips are not very good, moderate HD.  I would swim this dog and try to build up muscle mass.  Best of luck  Nan

Moderate to severe HD in both.

Dysplastic. Shallow in the sockets and changes are already present on Femur ball and sockets. More so on the Right side. Sorry to say.

Swim him, put him on something like Adequan to minimize damage/cartilage breakdown as he ages, and he will likely have a pretty good life. Keep him excercised and lean, low-impact stuff on soft ground. You can prevent most of the pain if you minimize the resulting arthritis from the dysplasia.

Sorry...never great news :(

Sad Smile  Sorry, but what everyone is guessing sounds about right, just try to keep him lean and if you can take him swimming that will build good muscle mass, good luck....
