Pregnant still have blood? - Page 1

I have a 30 days pregnant female ,still have blood clot in her urine.Some time have one drop vert dark color blood on the floor.I took her to vet checked with ultra sound, we sar a tiny heart bit.Cannot see something wrong,just keep an eyes on her.She eat well play well,no fever just have urine more than normal.
This is the third letter,6 years.Please advise.Thank you.

That could be a problem. She may have lost a puppy, or had a bad attachment on one or more puppies OR she may have a urinary tract infection.

IMO - Go to vet, get blood test to rule out any type of UTI, then ask your vet for enough cephlexin (sp?) to last thru the pregnancy and a week past whelping. If a puppy died inside, it could cause an infection and then all the puppies die. Been there done that.

I have a DDR import that will loose blood at about 21-28 day post breeding.  She has always given us a nice litter. Vet said nothing to worry about.  

Sometimes this happens in a normal pregnancy, but it warrants at least a phone call to a repro vet. It can also indicate other issues--from miscarriage to pyometra.

Check for UTI or an infection.

Just went through this with my bitch. Day 49 she finally stopped bleeding. Had her in to the repro vet 3 times since her TCI. Bleeding through pregnancy is not normal, but it does happen. I was in to the vet for the first time about 2 weeks into her pregnancy (too early at that point to tell though). Vet palpated her, check a smear, did ultrasound and bloodwork. Every thing normal. Put her on antibiotics as a precausion. Two weeks later @ 32 days now, can see pups on ultrasound. Also located a spot where a pup had been absorbed (he is also an ultrasound specialist). Continue her antibiotics. Now at this point she is bleeding more than she ever has in a heat cycle, let alone pregnancy. Passing clots due to the blood pooling inside then sliding out. Vets calls around to several other repro specialists, only reached one in Utah who said this can happen. So plan is to monitor her every 7-10 days. Back to vet @ 42 days pregnancy. Now showing she is getting anemic. Ultrasound shows pups growing and heartbeats. Low and behold that was the last day she bled. I have another appointment this Friday for blood work and ultrasound. Hoping her blood has returned back to normal. Her belly continues to grow. There is a Facebook group devoted to canine fertility and reproduction and there is another breeder with a GSD that experienced the same thing with her bitch at the same time as my bitch. Must be something in the air.

Now 43 days she stop bleeding almost a week, I though it is steady .But she drink a lot of water and a lot of urine,triple than normal,anyone have this experence?

what is her Temp. Does she have a fever.  If not and all is is good, may just be because she is Pregnant if you are lucky
