While doing some research on Ufo I came across Blacky Von Spitzbubezwinger.  Interesting pedigree.  Anyone familiar with this dog ie; where located, owner and or working ability.  Thanks in advance.

kyle, the last i knew, blacky had gone to south africa.  he competed in wusv in denmark, but didn't do very well.  rita wuyts and i had a discussion about blacky a few years ago.  she owned zahra, blacky's dam, before zahra came to the usa.  rita intimated to me that blacky's drives were insuffient.  now, who knows?  was it a genetic problem or was it a training problem?  he certainly was an impressive looking dog and a pedigree to match. i guess i would not be too hasty to write him off.  as far as i know, he has no progeny listed either on pdb or working-dog.eu.  if you do manage to learn more of his whereabouts, i would be interested in hearing.
good luck.  pjp

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.  Training and biased opinion is always a concern with evaluating a dog.  Genetically speaking you would think that the material is all the same from the same litter so outcomes should be similiar, Timmy and Troll,  Aron and Amigo.  I was just hoping to see more info on Blacky v. Spitz........

You do not often see Ufo over Udo and Qinto.  Thanks again.

Hi,

Blacky is in South Africa and is owned by Mike Seddon. He was a nice dog in the protection but did not seem to cope well with any pressure in the ob. He was quite a small dog. We were at the WUSV with Mike in 2006 and the dog was not well. He was used here for stud once as far as I know. There was a few problems with hips in the litter from what I know. I saw 1 male from the litter work and it was nice.

Thank You, for commenting and your opinion of the dog. I did not realize he was a small dog.  He looks bigger in pictures, lol.
