My guys get fish oil pills and also I split a can of veggies between the 3 of them. They especially like carrots, sweet poatoes and green beans--everything I get is low sodium and low fat.........

Um the kitchen sink? Red Smile
Right now Payne gets a spoon full of canned salmon based dog food. Mashed in real good all over the other kibble. Mostly because she had a bout of mastitis this week and it's easier to hide the antibiotic in it that way.
Normal stuff is the Missing Link 1 teaspoon twice a day and i half a teaspoon of her vitamin power. Plus she gets treats like blue berries, and other fresh fruits. She loves mangos. :D Some veggies when i'm making my salad for lunch. The occasional meat scrap. And the last bite of whatever Dad is eating.Omg Smile

Water.....enough to float kibble (Orijen) at all feedings.
Evenings add coconut oil and 1/3 can of canned meat dog food (Hound & Gatos).

As for Salmon over fish oil.....IMO....if you feed high quality salmon dog food you really don't need to add fish oil. Unless you are trying to increase calorie intake or trying to put weight on a dog.

And the last bite of whatever Dad is eating.

We called that the "Teddy Tax", growing up. Teddy was our first black GSD, found in the pound, for $20. Thanks for the chuckle. Lol

It's generally recommended to not add much of anything to a high quality dog food. If I add anything at all which is rare, it is a few cooked veggies or a small amount of raw meat. I used to supplement with MirraCoat, but don't find it necessary for my current dog. She's an easy keeper with a very nice coat.

coconut oil, sea weed, glucosamine, water or some sort of stock...

good for fur, good for joins, good for digestion.

Besides the usual things like meat, salmons oil, supplements, vegetables etc, I have a feeling that probiotic powder and yogurt mixed with kibble helps reduce gas build up and the associated "kibble swell" in the stomach.  Its my opinion that all kibble, whether it be grain-free or not, should always be served with yogurt mixed in.  In fact i would say it should be printed on the kibble bag.
