"Last Kind Words" is available "On Demand". It features an AKC CH V rated Sch3, KKL1, UD, agility titled German Shepherd. I haven't seen it yet so can't vouch for the quality of the story. Plan to watch it over the weekend just to see the dog

Not impressed with the "German Standard" dog.
I do believe the dog in the first picture is Helen Gleason's Gator!

Showed to Helen a few weeks back. Great experience, wonderful judge.

Xeph - this is the same dog...better now?
Besides being 2 times VA1 he is linebred 3/3 on Hill, he does hopefully carry some genes of Dasti, Daggi, and Conni Farbenspiel, some of the best females we ever had.
Mr Wieser was one of the seldom breeders improving an outstanding motherline during his career - it´s a pity people only talk about the males.
Breeding is always a gamble, but looking for a "working showline" I´d give him a chance bred to a suitable female in a heartbeat.
Okay, this was faaar off topic.

There's a German Shepherd in a movie I read about here. Also haven't seen the movie. Is the one above a horror movie? I put it in the Google to see if it was on Netflix and got results for what looks like a scary one!

Xeph is correct, that's Nocturne's Navigator, the only V rated Am Bred AKC CH with a SCH3, KKL1 in AKC history. Gator was moving his tail around when they took that picture. He carries it correctly as you can see on the show photo. His sire is a very nice AKC CH, his dam a V rated GSL SCH3, CDX, agility titled bitch bred in the US by Helen. Gator is 3rd generation of Sch3 HOT and BHOT dogs owned and trained by Helen including 2 that are still in the running for the most titled GSD's in the US. She's a big believer in titling in both German and AKC venues.
I actually didn't think it was necessary to name the dog here. I am not stupid enough to ever try to promote any AKC CH on this board. It was simply a heads up for a film that featured a GSD with multiple titles in German and American venues. That's all. The photo was obviously not taken by a breeder or a show person. If you watched the film you would see he was galloping, was excited, wagging his tail in a circle, and pulling hard in the sequence when it was taken. He was being called and encouraged by a person he knew who was out of sight of the camera. The photo wasn't offered for a critique of the dog's anatomy or a comparison to a favorite GSL anyway.
IMO it's good for the breed to have ANY GSD shown in a positive light in a film that is available to the public.

Yes, this is another horror flick, sort of. I watched it last night, not going to win any awards and Gator's parts go by fast. Still it was fun watching him play the role of a GSD that wasn't aggressive and that liked everyone he met instead of how they are normally portrayed.

Deutscher, the photo you submitted does that Va dog absolutely no favors. I feel sure there are much better movement photos of him you could post to a new thread.
