What is the ideal time start to feed solid food to new born puppy?

4 wks. good quality kibble soaked in goat milk & made into mush.

Agree about 4 weeks unless the mother is having serious problems. I had a litter i had to wean at 3 weeks due to their mother rejecting them. I ran the puppy food through a blender to turn it into powder and then soaked in puppy milk formula to help transition them. They all turned out fine. Just have a lot of handy wipe at the ready, puppies are seriously messy.
