Oh CONGRATS TO YOU. Any dog that passes the AD should get a steak for dinner.

Thanks all!!!!
very happy to get some of this years goals out of the way!
I was working Oeht and Maggie for the AD and I had become comfortable and able to ride about six miles no problem,
when it came to really doing it, I found the dog was in great shape, I was very out of shape because when I was
training with the dogs I only did flat surfaces, no real hills... and the dogs would pull me as I would work two at a time.
Luckily my son was helping out and he did Maggie while I had Oeht. I almost gave up half way through
but my son told me to keep moving don't slow way down or the dog starts to give in, we went quite the distance,
and when I thought we were all ready to head back down the road to finish and check in, the leader says, oh I miscalculated,
could you go down to the red barn and then back, that was like another 1/8 of a mile, but "back" was up hill
Don't do what I did to train, try peddling and add in a few hills, don't let the dog do all the work

The hills we did just had a bit gradual incline, but they were tough for me, I'm used to getting pulled
Guess for me it was like a stress test, just glad I didn't stroke out
