I'm browsing through some of the classifies on this site, and I decided to see what people are requesting to buy. To my astonishment I came across this particular AD: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/classifieds.viewad?adid=188828
Why would ANYONE with an once of sanity would want to have a dog that fits in the description? This is beyond insanity. Dogs that fits in this description should have the pink liquid injected into their veins A.S.A.P

???? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong ad? Green dog PPD prospect....

Brittany I expect Garrison will answer your question before long assuming he reads this. That's pretty harsh suggesting that a dog that fits his descripiton should be injected with the pink stuff.

I fail to see what the problem is based on the description given. Someone is looking for a dog to fit THEIR lifestyle for THEIR needs and purposes. I have owned several of these dogs and I happen to enjoy them, so long as they are stable.

Without even looking, I can guess which ad you're talking about and I don't see the problem. If you don't want one, don't look for one and don't buy one.

I expect there are plenty of people who want a dog like this, not everyone wants a pet.

I was primary looking at this " Does not need to be social, good with kids or other animals" Maybe I'm reading it wrong? Why would anyone want to have a dog that isn't socialized or isn't good with children or any other animals?
No wonder we have breed specific legislation.

It's not rocket science. Paul didn't say he needs the dog to eat 4 children per week; he just said the dog doesn't have to be good with kids or other animals.
You thinking any dog fitting that description needs to be killed is why Paul has to post a classified in order to find the kind of dog he wants.
Goes both ways, Brittany.

Jenni78, And I'm asking WHY would anyone want to have a dog that isn't good with kids or any other animals. And yes this isn't rocket science. I'm simply asking why so I can understand the cause. I'm not trying to be harsh... and Yes Blitzen if an animal that fits this description ever steps foot inside animal control would most likely be destroyed without a doubt because the dog poses a danger to society.

I have a dog like this. I have been trying to donate her to a PD for MONTHS and because of the liability involved, none have been willing to give her a shot. It is NOT easy living with a dog like the, especially when you have children and other, small prey type animals. She is on lockdown 24/7, which is a shame because she is a phenomenal working dog and will work scent detection till she drops, no environmental issues at all and loves her handler but no others.
