Thought I'd share some pix of our "pup" Ziggy who will be one year old on 04/17. Time sure does fly. These pix show him in a natural stack, Head study with our 4.5yr old girl, Echo. (Both sharing the same ball 'n rope.) Profile shot of just Ziggy. Echo this side of Ziggy showing the difference in size and my personal favorite, Ziggy guarding his ball 'n rope. I know it's not a proper stack but go ahead and give me your critiques. I welcome all comments.

Ibrahim, I'm waiting for your expert eyes to tell me what you think! Anyone else care to critique our boy?

Well, I love him, no matter what Ibrahim says, lol! Looks pretty darn beautiful, to me! And Ziggy plays well with others!

Thanks beetree. I love him too. He is just the sweetest, lovingingest thing. The big ox! He plays well with Echo but doesn't care for other dogs or other people. He will warm up to a stranger if he knows we're ok with the stranger but it takes him awhile. How's Blue?

Hi Debi,
I have taken into consideration that the angle of first picture and stack are not the best that could be. Based on all above pics:
Good male type black/tan GSD of large size and medium strength. Correct proportions, i.e height to length and front leg to height. Very good head of correct size, correct proportions and planes, nice mask and medium dark eye, stop is just right, I've learned the more stop there is the less parallel planes become. Also correct forehead (no dome), good ears and earset.
Nice substantial neck, nice topline, flat withers but of good length, strong back of good length, good loin, a little short and a little steep croup, correct tail and tailset.
Balanced moderate front and rear angulation, nice thigh, hocks and feet. Good underline, good chest depth, very good pasterns, nice front legs, not sure how straight they are, picture does not help. Lacks fore chest development, little short and little steep front upper arm, good shoulder blade lay. Very good rich pigment and strong bones, frame is big, he looks of showline blood, I see nothing unpleasant in all details, in short I can describe him as a big boy of very good balance allover. Enjoy him.

I would love to see how Sonora, A&A and Rik evaluate his structure. Rik has good experience, Sonora has the professional eye. A&A critiqued two of my dogs and I learned a lot from those critiques, I went on hand exploring each part of them, he couldn't be more spot on, on all he said about their structure. To our misfortune he does not post often these days.

Thanks Ibrahim! That's what I was looking for. I would love to get more critiques...as you know, I can take them. I like to think I can see my dog's faults but I like to have someone else see them or point them out. I helps me to see the truth. I can tell you his legs are very straight but his elbows seem to point out to me. I'm hoping his chest will drop in a few months. He's a gangly teen right now.
