What is the experience of everyone who has ever had a dog rated borderline, either unilateral or bilateral? Did the dog get a passing rating later on, did the dog get another borderline rating later on, or did the dog get a failing rating? At what age did your dog get the borderline rating, Pre-lim or Adult x-ray? I have a 14 mo bitch that just got a unilateral borderline rating and I'm not sure what to do, wait and retake another x-ray in 6 months or go ahead and spay her.

One of my GSD's received a borderline from OFA when she was 24 months old; she passed with a good 6 months later. A copy of the "borderline"  xray was sent to the SV and she received an A1 rating.

No xrays to share.  I didn't own her at the time. Was told about it by her co-owner.

OFA is all over the place. I purchaesed a dog with a OFA good at 12 months I re xrayed her 3 months later and got a SV Mittlere which she deserved. SV is much better IMO.

I had a friend whose male at 14 months old got a PenHip excellent (100%) and then failed OFA at 2 yrs, OFA Moderate.  she re-xrayed him 6 months later and it came back that time as OFA Good.  I don't have much faith in OFA> JMHO

Know of a dog that was OFA mild under what I was told by the owner was heavy sedation. Redone again with sedation but so long ago I was just told light but still sedated. It was several years ago so maybe they were heavily sedated then by some vets. No clue. Do not remember details. Dog came back OFA fair the second time. The dog was over 24 months. It was not a prelim.

At 8 months one of my puppies graded as mild with no changes.
When I redid the xrays at 24 months she passed as good.
First xray with without sedation the second xray was with sedation.
