RSV2000:
Looking for individuals to start and support a RSV2000 Ortsgruppe in Northeastern Indiana. There is a option to the S.V. and a organization with concern focused on the working German Shepherd. Please contact me by PM or my email vomdrachen@embarqmail.com.

good for you Bob, the breed needs more doers like yourself. I'm on hold for a pup but I plan to join RSV later on as well.

I,m still a UScA member and will keep that but i will also help develope the RSV here in the US with my money and time also. I like a orginization focused on the Working German Shepherd that isn,t so heavily influenced by the show dog people. Also it will be intresting to see what happens to the WDA after this years WUSV here in the US.

Will usca allow you to be a Member of 2 Gsd org?

Bob,
It seems that the reports by WDA were a bit exaggerated. USCA will recognize the WDA scorebook, but WUSV/SV recognizes and accepts that non-members will be charged a surcharge, USCA members will receive priority for entry in club events, and USCA clubs can reject any entries for club trials. Seems that the driving concern is the WUSV Championship in Philly in six and a half months. Bottom-line: essentially nothing has changed, other than recogizing WDA scorebooks, matters are status quo and USCA is not as pimpable as some thought a few days ago. :-) In fact, due to the heavy-handiness of its leadership, WDA membrrs may find themselves evn mire "trialess."

I meant to type "Heavy-handedness," " members," and "trial-less."

To me the issue with the GSDCA-WDA is water under the bridge we can all go forward from here with the breed in mind or we can keep rehashing old politics and get no where. Can we belong to the UScA and the RSV ? this is my take. From Article 4 of the UScA bylaws " USA members may not be members of, or be affiliated with, any competing German Shepherd Dog orginization in the United States" The RSV is based in Germany not in the United States. It would be no different then Being a UScA member and Member of the S.V. I guess I will have to defend my stance if need be but if I do it will be with full vim and vigor.

Sounds like a great plan...resolve the issue of multiple organizations with more organizations!

by Bob McKown on 12 March 2013 - 12:03
That,s your opinion Keith, your entitled to it! But you might just be surprised the amount of support that is already here for the organization. And the fact that it high lites the working ability of the German Shepherd dog. A novel idea these days. The S.V. isn,t done throwing it,s weight around believe me. To each there own.
