Hi
I recently purchased a 2 month old GSD puppy. He was weaned on Royal Canin Maxi Starter. He will be 3 months on 20-3-2013. He weighs 11 kilos. The breeder suggested that I continue with Maxi Starter for another 1 month. It eats 3 cups a day and I add little milk for each meal just to entice him. He eats with gusto! As soon as the packet is over I am planning to switch over to Adult food with 24% protein. Also I add a bit of salmon oil in the morning meal. Stools are perfect.
Any suggestions.

dont wait til food is gone!!! GSD have very sensitive stomach, u need enought food to switch them over slowly, i do it like this day 1-3 75% old food 25% new food, day 4-6 50/50 day 7-9 75% new 25% old, then 100% new...................also to me royal canin is by far not the worse food you could begivin, but there is better (where ive looked) for cheaper..............check this page out........http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/
