Colour aside, she looks like a Husky cross to me, nor does she look like a GSD does at 6 months, looks older.

From what I have learned, there is a strong possibility that there is a white GSD in the line.

Low quality of GSD with badly washed out colors or combination with white. May make great pet or protection dog or any other type dog, who knows.... but should not be bred.

Black + white GSD does NOT produce black and white or grey and white.

Breeders of white GSDs will breed to silver GSDs, because they tend to produce pure white GSDs rather than off-white. Breeding to a black and tan, especially melanistic black and tan, is more likely to produce a dog that's a rusty or cream colour.

The gene that produces white dogs simply MASKS the other colour genes, and apparently, it's harder to completely mask the genes that produce the darker colours.

I think that's how it works. If I've got this wrong, please correct me!

Anyway, I am not convinced that dog is purebred. Usually black and silver dogs still have the typical GSD markings (saddle or blanket on back, harness markings on chest and shoulder), though the face may feature the reverse mask that resembles a husky. (E.g. the Littlest Hobo dogs.)

Thanks for your opinions.  I thought the dog's colors were odd for a gsd.

I must agree with Kaffirdog too! Not full GSD, and does look a little older!

I had a dog marked like this back 30 years ago... Elan was 3/4 German Shepherd, 1/4 Siberian Husky.   Awesome dog, but not a purebred.
