I plan to enter the  San Gabriel Hund Verein Trial to be held Friday/Saturday February 22nd-23rd in Hutto, TX.

The host club is a USCA member club and I'm a GSDCA-WDA member.

It will be interesting to see the following:

1. If my entry is accepted
2. If I'm allowed to trial my dog for the BH
3. If the judge will sign my GSDCA-WDA scorebook

I need the answer from Jim Alloway..........

Here is a idea!.

Why don,t you and your club host a trial and then you will have no issue to rake the muck about and everyone will be happy.

by ramgsd on 07 February 2013 - 18:02

SITA you will notice that Jim doesn't post here much. Mostly about regional events and things his club hosts.... So I doubt he'll be returning here again. (I could be wrong, but I doubt it) but if you call or email him I'm sure you'll get a response. By the way UNKNOWN (aweful name to go by on here IMO) is Frank Phillips the UScA Vice-Predident so he will also know. BUT the fact of the matter is it has all been spelled out and isn't that hard to understand.

1.) UScA will accept all scorebooks issued by all WUSV recognized organizations.

2.) the WDA, while partnered with the GSDCA is not a recognized member.

3.) the GSDCA is a recognized wusv organization. The GSDCA DOES NOT ISSUE SCOREBOOKS. So for a GSDCA member to trial at WUSV member club... they would need a scorebook from a rec. WUSV organization that isses them. Such as DVG, AWDF...

Those are the SV rules.  If those rules are being followed it is being handled correctly. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that UScA is doing something wrong.

So you can post as much as you like, you can start as many threads as you like, you can stomp your feet and scream. It's not going to change the fact that until you get a scorebook from a recognized organization or get the GSDCA to start issuing scorebooks. It's just a lot of wasted energy.

ramgsd...The name...I was put on the spot 10 years ago to come up with a name when I logged on for the first time and I couldn't think of one so.....sorry, I know it is not a good one but when PDB asked me for a user name the answer was....unknown.....

I wrote a big answer on the other thread she asked and I explained everything you did and I signed it with my name and title in USCA. Obviously she is not looking for the correct answer but fishing for something else.

and by the way, your post is spot on.....and no Jim will not be answering her as she already has the answer......

I have also stated, if the WUSV wants USCA to recognize WDA and their scorebooks, all they have to do is tell us that. So far, they have not.

I understand Frank but unless someone knows who you actually are.......

By the way It's nice to see that both the new President and Vice-President of UScA took the time to try and clarify this situation for the members OF A CLUB, NOT THEIR OWN!!!

"By the way It's nice to see that both the new President and Vice-President of UScA took the time to try and clarify this situation for the members OF A CLUB, NOT THEIR OWN!!! "

Exactly, and thanklessly.     This is merely pot-stirring.   If the OP didn't know the answer before (which I doubt),   Frank and Rick have done everything ,but draw it in crayon.    It is becoming beyond disingenuous.  Enough already. Sad Smile
