I am interested in finding a female linebred on Belschik von Eicken-Bruche,  I am also interested in a female linebred on Ufo van Guy's Hof.  Anyone out there doing this? Thank you for any leads.

I would think linebreeding on Belschik would get you very angry screaming

Wow Workingdosz,  You just descibed my favorite female,a Belschik grand daughter!!!!! LOL

Told you. It's true what they say, size does matter.
No one wants a dog that's "too small", no matter how
much drive etc they have. And I would worry linebreeding
on a male like Belschik would produce exactly that,
undersized dogs.

I believe Rinus did it with his Optikas D litter? And if memory
is correct those dogs were awfully small.

Yes, but look at how many over sized gsds there are out there. I like my females between 55-65 pounds, and my males no more then 75 pounds. Big dogs break down. I don't think you understand my thinking here. There is no" told you so".  I like dogs in the way you describe.  I have worked Belschik progeny and they are way more then just sport dogs. I want an angry little screamer watching over my family. Not a 100 pound dummy.   Size only matters when it comes to the heart of the dog.

Volan, a Belschik son was actually what I would consider a large gsd about 80 pounds. His litter mate from the v litter was about the same size, but I can' remeber his name.  Volan produced nice pups and I never saw one that would be considered to small by breed standard. We also had other Belschik progeny in and out of the kennel because that is what my boss liked and she was friends with Rinus. When I worked for that kennel I was able see and hear about what Volan produced from many different females. Size was really only asked about by pet home customers.  It is usually one of the last questions a working person would ask.

Wow Workingdogz, I have a friend who has a linebred male of Belschik, and he's not small at all, neither are his offspring. Now the intensity is still there. Love My Canine, check your inbox, I'll send you his link.

No need for everyone to get bent out of shape, it's simply an obervation
that people should be aware of when considering a breeding. I'm not
talking about medium sized dogs, I am referring to undersized dogs.

Also, the ability to cap the drive and think clearly might be another thing
one should keep in mind. Obviously Belschik would be just one of the dogs
in the pedigree being linebred on, but thin nerves would be another thing one
would keep an eye on. I'm sure there are a few dogs out there linebred on
Belschik macrowe, but there would also be other dogs in those dogs pedigree
too that could contribute to size. The reality was, Belschik was a smaller dog.
Nothing wrong with that, he was within the standard, but, the propensity to
produce smaller or undersize dogs is a reality that people should take heed of.

LTC, there are larger to oversized dogs out there that remain sound too, much depends
on the genetics behind the dog, how the dog is maintained etc as far as soundness.
I can think of several large to oversize dogs that are still sound and moving well at
10-14 years of age, that's a credit to good genetics and proper care. I also know of dogs
that are a nice 'medium' size at 70-80lbs that are crippled up by 6+ years of age.

Certainly didn't mean to get people so defensive, it's a simple observation based on
what has been produced by linebreeding on the one dog that was listed here. I would
also take into account the number of monorchids, bad hips etc that were produced
along the way.
