We "acquired" this female http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dog.html?id=1850866 and have discovered she has some issues that we would like to get answers about. We have contacted, or should I say, tried to contact her breeder, but the most help we can get from her is, "Since we didn't get the dog from her, we need to talk to the person we got her from." That is just exactly what we did, but that person said she called the breeder inquiring about the same issues. Seems the breeder wasn't much help and the buyer asked her if she wanted the bitch back because she was alittle too extreme for her to handle. The breeder refuse to take her back. That is how we acquired her.
The issues we are having with her are, we see signs of dog agression. Also she is a constant barker, as in non stop. If anything moves she barks. If she hears the wind blow, she barks, She will bark right through a bark collar. She is a very high drive girl, with a never ending amount of desire to please. She is smart as a whip and learns quickly. She is constantly moving. We do alot with her and actually work her everyday as much as we can. She is only a year old. We swim her at least 3-4 times a week, take her jogging and biking. This girl is over the top with energy. We are not giving her any supplements that could be giving her energy. We are feeding a maintance diet. She is none stop.
My question is, by looking at her pedigree, is there anything in it that could be an indication of what she is showing us.? I know these are things the breeder could answer as she has breed both mom and dad several times. I was told that both mom and dad have prodcued fence fighters and dog aggression. That is just hearsay as for as I know. Please look at her pedigree and please let me know if anyone sees where this girl's issues may be coming from. I am not familar with Czech bloodlines as much as I know some of you are. Any help would be appreciated. Also I noticed that mom is now for sale on the breeder's website. I was also told at one time that dad would soon become available. But once again, that is only hearsay.

I know the dogs she is out of. Santo is a very dominant dog, strong nerves, and real protection. But very easy to be around. Iris is a sister of one of my females. Good balance drives. Very easy to handle. Very versatile for just about any work from tracking, detection, or even sport. if I can be of more help let me know.

Her parents are both from high drive bloodlines. Dog aggression can definitely have a genetic component--it is also at least partially a learned behavior. Sometimes it is based on dominance, more often on a combo of fear and learned success through aggression.
The barking--that can happen with any high drive dog who isn't given proper outlets for the drive--or for the energy of a young dog. Some dogs are just plain more vocal than others.

After reading your post a little closer, I can tell you all the physical exersize in the world isn't enough for dogs on the female side. You have to keep challenging them mentaly. Whether tracking, obedience, work, work, work. You can not leave in a pen or just lay around. They are hard working dogs that learn extremely fast, and if worked will never quit you. I can stop mine on a dime. I have never seen one a crazy barker, fence fighter as all the ones I know of out of Ajsa X Mambo are either tracking,S&R, or Police K9,or personal protection.
I also know the breeder to be a very serious breeder, so somethings in the original purchasers story to me just don't add up. Not pointing fingers but just my experience both with the dogs and the breeder.

Well something I learned is that if evertime you go to exercise, with a dog that has a lot of energy, (when the exercise is high energy/intense) the dog will always act like this. try some calm exercising, and mix in some high energy stuff. as with the barking I dont know what to tell you. Get a stronger bark collar i guess LOL. possibly a phase? the pedigree is not to bad, pretty nice.

Desert Dog, With all due respect, I have personally tried to talk to the breeder myself. She did not know who I was or why I was calling. Upon answering the phone and me telling her the purpose of my call, she interrupted me and told me since I did not by the dog from her, that I needed to talk to the one I got the dog from and she rudely hung up on me.. With that said, if she has or had a problem with the original buyer, why take it out on me.? In my opinion, That was not very breeder friendly nor responsible as a breeder. I have sent her two emails asking her if she wanted the dog back, and also mention that if she did not want to help me I was going to ask here on the PDB. That was about 2 weeks ago, and as of today, I have not heard from her. That speaks volumes for her as a breeder. I did not start this thread to be about the breeder but since you posted that you knew her and that the original purchaser's story didn't add up, I wanted to share my experience with her. Regardless of any breeders issues, they should never turn their back on someone asking for help especially concerning something they are responsible for breeding.. JMO
