I post so much about Cirberus, that someone asked me if Max was ok. So here goes.
Max is doing wonderful. He is so much like Rose in temperament. He is everything I wanted from this litter and so much more. He is calm and confident, with just a hint of natural protectiveness (this is exactly what I wanted out of the stud choice.) Very little fazes him.
Training is going very well. As I expected, he takes him all of about 5 minutes worth of lesson to teach him anything new. At 9 months, we have basic manners down 90 – 95%; sit, down, come, stay, leave it, move out of the way, doors. We completed the finished sit this week. We are starting to work on the heel, now that he knows the correct position. Long, narrow hall ways do wonders in this area.
He opens (push doors) and closes doors. We will soon start the training on how to handle doors without being so much of a puppy about it. “A door can be closed without body slamming it.”
We will start the under shoulder crawl soon I hope. I have to make sure I am very stable so that I do not put any weight on him when he is under my shoulder. This is the beginning steps to helping someone up if they have fallen. I have to be very careful that we do not rush anything. He is learning so fast, it is hard not to just keep going.
If the weather holds out, we will go proofing this weekend; I gotta have something to do while everyone is watching football. I am planning on getting his CGC this spring and BH this summer. I am going to try to find someone to video these so I can post.
He is getting huge in size. We have not weighed in a while, but, compared to the other dogs, I suspect he is pushing 70 pounds.

He sounds like he very promising and very smart! What a handsome boy!!! :)

WOW: what a nice fella; good luck with him and sounds like his training is moving right along. I will hopefully be doing the same in the very near future. Nan
