IPO1, SVV1, ZVV1, SchH1 - ?
I understand that these titles are similar in many ways and different it others.......
Do any of these titles allow for the dog to be on a leash during obedience?
No assumptions please.......links would be appreciated.
Yes I know the answer to most of the above listed......im looking for the actual informaiton from the various kennel clubs.

IPO and Sch are comparable except IPO is Sch with international rules applied.
To my knowledge at least on those two it would be off leash during obediance. Kind of defeats the purpose of the test for it to be leashed .. right?

I'm looking for links to the regulations from the different officiating organizations.......
I have the FCI link which officiates IPO....
SchH is on the way out, so that one doesn't matter anymore.
So I'd need the ZVV and SVV links.....
Thank you in advance!

IPO is the same as SchH just a name change for political correctness. There are minor rule changes but in obedience these are mainly in terms of scoring the form of heeling, retrieve exercises and the send away.
There is no part of the actual obedience phase done on leash in IPO even at the IPO 1 stage. While there is mention in the rules that you can report in to the judge on leash, when I trialed in October 2012, we reported in on leash and were told by the judge that he deemed this incorrect but the actual obedience phase was all off leash, no questions.
As you can see from the link, the first thing you do in ZVV1 or SVV1 obedience is take the dog off leash.

rlhar...........i understand, but i'm looking for the actual regulations from from the respective kennel clubs.......

Which kennel clubs? Do you mean like USA's website and DVG's? I would think you can google those as readily as anyone here can provide links.
But to answer your question, on-leash obedience is not part of any of those titles or the titles beyond them. Anyone who has trialed a dog to those titles can tell you that without it being an assumption.

Whatever happened to 'VPG', in the midst of 'renaming' SchH to IPO ?
by SitasMom on 23 January 2013 - 20:01
GSDCA-WDA has dropped VPG and is now offering IPO, in compliance with FCI and WUSV.
