Where can I find information on nice Stud dogs in the US that are available to outside females?  I prefer the workinglines.  I see a few nice ads on here under the classifieds, but is there anywhere else?  My female is too young now, and in the process of earning titles, and will be health tested.  But I'm wanting to start my homework and research early.  I have at least a year, but starting early.

I'm interested in DDR, Czech and the West Workinglines. Must be Titled, breed surveyed, show rating, hips/elbows, etc.  I do prefer the Black & tan/red or Bicolors. And the type and structure of the DDR males.  Not against using Frozen semen either

Thank you

Can you post your females pedigree? That would really help

by Ajones143 on 04 January 2013 - 03:01

I'm very excited about this girl, and plan to continue her titles once she arrives here after receiving her BH, IPO1 in the Summer.  First time buying an older puppy/young adult.

I have quite awhile before any breeding would be taking place, but want to see what nice dogs are available early on, talk to the owners and do my homework.  I personally love her pedigree a lot, the outcross and the dogs in it.

I would only be breeding when I'd like to keep something for myself.

All advertising should be done in the classifieds, or PM the interested member, thank you. mrdarcy (Admin)

Whose name is on the AKC registration paperwork?

For the OP, normally I would say 'who cares if you like the person that owns the stud',
if it's the right male for your bitch, do the breeding.

In this case, I will make exception to that. Before you research Hyro Waji, please
do your due diligence and research Timothy Helser. If after you do that, and you
think Hyro would be the right male, and want to breed to the dog, well, good luck.

Not sure how that dog landed with that individual, but just goes to show, most people
simply don't give a flying shit where the dog goes when they are 'done' with it.
It's all about the Benjamins at the end of the day for most.

workingdogz, truer words have never been spoken--and I do mean ALL of what you've written here.  In addition, if it is important to a bitch owner that they will be able to register the litter with the AKC as soon as the pups are born, BEFORE doing the breeding they would do well to insist on seeing the actual AKC registration papers for the dog--and if the name of the owner as shown on that document doesn't exactly match the name of the person offering the stud services of the dog, RUN, don't walk, away and don't look back.
