No but I am reading a book called "Working Dogs An Attempt to Produce a Strain of German Shepherds Which Combines Working Ability and Beauty of Conformation" written by Elliot Humphrey, who was the head trainer there. I bought it last Christmas and have never gotten past the 3 rd chapter--there is just way too much info to absorb to just sit down and read it like a regular book. Sells at Amazon for 15 and some change. I reccomend it. I was always interested in Fortunate Fields and their breeding program. The part I am on now is the charts they made and why they bred or didn't breed to this or that dog. It was written in 1938 and has been redone so not sure if it goes into what happened to them.
One interesting thing he talks about is showlines and workinglines and there being a difference way back then. I believe as early as 1908. But of course the showlines he refers to look nothing like the cookie cutters of today.

I read the book a while ago, I thought the kennels were in NJ if I recall correctly. I think they were converted to seeing eye dogs ? in morristown, nj. E Humphrey was the chief geneticist.

Some dogs can be found on pdb..perhaps a reverse breeding might provide info.

The kennel was in Switzerland. A story was written in the Sat evening Post about her program, Frank Morris found out about it and went to Switzerland. He came back with a sable female named Buddy. Yes a female named Buddy. Morristown NJ where the Seeing Eye is located was named after Frank Morris.
