http://www.bleuhauskennels.com/Males.htm

Very little informaiton about each dog is shown on website (titles, hips and elbows, health clearances).
No guarantee is shown.
Also just a few dogs, and only one litter -

Bob seems to be a person that likes dogs and has an occasional litter.

IMO I'd add a bit more informaiton and also some sort of guarantee including stating that deposits are non-refundable, just as a cya. Also when emailing back and forth trying to set up delivery, if the buyer states they cannot accept terms of delivery, than state that you must start charging for boarding.

Once you increase the selling price to a certain point you end up dealing with a different demographic eliminating most of the garbage in this thread.  For most the question is how....

I wont presume to know Bob's vision for his kennel.  All i can say is I really like his female.

In response to Sitasmom:
Ofa does do preliminary evaluations prior to 2 years of age. I recommend to all of my clients that they have X-rays done at 10-12 months and I DO NOT require ofa results in my guarantee, simply a statement from their vet. 90% of the puppies I sell go to pet only homes and my prices are based on the current market in this area for German shepherd puppies. The links for my upcoming litters were copied incorrectly since it shows 2 litters with the same parents on your post and that is not the case. Here is the link to my second litter, both parents have conformation titles, dad has obedience title, both have health certifications.

"I sell go to pet only homes"

You're guarantee doesn't guarantee temperamant..........and you're selling do pet homes?

You're selling puppies with full registeration for an extra $200.....and you're selling to pet homes?

Does not compute....

Any puppy, especially a cheap puppy, with full retistration = puppy mill candidate.

Maybe you could sell all with limited registration until they pass hip and elbows, and then send in paperwork to grant full registration for an additional $200 if owner requests it. This is insurance that your puppies don't end up in puppy mills......don't you think?

90% go to pet homes with limited registration. And I dont sell with full registration to just anyone. I have extensive conversations with people and if they at any point cannot keep a dog with full registration then I am prepared to buy the dog back from them. I keep in contact with everyone that I have sold a puppy to on full registration.  The situation with bob kress has been resolved and this is off topic for this thread. If you would like to continue discussing please feel free to pm me or start a new thread.

Personally I've seen VERY few breeders willing to guarantee temperments in their puppies, many are top name kennels. I have read MANY top breeders guarantees.   So much goes into developing temperment of a growing pup. You can have the soundest temperment pup, put it in a home where it gets little to no socialization, poor care, raised outside in a kennel, and it will not grow up to have a sound temperment.  So I don't see how one can honestly guarantee temperment.  Many people want a well bred pet, not a crazy drive dog, and just don't or can't pay an arm and a leg for one. and I dont' really see where the purchase price someone sets for their pups is anyone elses business.    It depends on where one lives, if they are willing to ship, the current economic state, etc as to what one wants to sell their dogs for. I don't know that it's anyones business what someone sells their pups for.  Let's all try to be nicer to each other this new year!

Well, I called and talked to Bob a few months back about a dog he had that I would have loved to have had, I just couldn't pull it off at the time.
I won't buy a dog from just anyone either, and I sure wish I could have got the male I wanted from Bob.
Bob was very nice, he wanted to know my plans for the dog and we basicly had a nice coversation about dogs.
I would not hesitate to buy a dog from him nor would I have a problem reccommending him as a breeder.
Big deal some whine ass cried about 200 bucks. Sometimes people just rub ya the wrong way, and you really don't care if you piss them REALLY

(yeah, live4, I caught that after I re-read, so I took it off,  although it should still apply).
