Chocolate GSDs....sigh - Page 1

So..............I met a couple out today with a blue GSD wearing a muzzle. VERY dog aggressive. Really nice couple, chatted to them for a bit - curious as to where they had got their dog. They had a litter brother at home, equally dog aggressive. Probably more to do with their socialisation techniques than temperament - but maybe not, especially as the father is being rehomed (on checking the website) as an 'only' dog. They are working really really hard to correct this. Big mistake having littermates IMO anyway. The dog is huge. So they tell me it is a Kintonkaiz dog, ah yes, I have heard of them. She is breeding chocolate GSDs they tell me, her first litter coming up. Oh, you mean liver say I - to a blank look. The colour is called liver, not chocolate and I can't say that I am a fan of it at all. So I thought I would refresh myself by having a look at the website when I got back, yep it's up there as liver/chocolate LOL, and it is a typical rainbow coloured breeder.  I remember them now, they supplied Jamiroqai with a blue pup. But I came across a very mysterious thing. There is an old website and a new website and on the old website there is a pedigree link to their founding stud dog Karakot Tidal Chills at Kintonkaiz with the statement 'due to some unscrupulous people doing false paperwork on their pups pedigree, I have left out some of the names on my own stud dog's pedigree'.  And there are, indeed blanks such as the sire of Aldermaston Fatal Fury, and the sire of Magnolia Dawn at Aldermaston and her sire, and some others.  Call me a cynic but........................

I couldn't believe it when at Krazy Bout K9's in MT, she rescued a "miniature GSD".  That one still gets me... but there it was! 

What is considered a mini GSD?

Was it a dwarf maybe?

LOL... it was about half the size of a typical GSD!  Steph would be able to tell you more.    

Sunsilver, NOT a dwarf!  It was deemed a "miniature" and intentionally bred as such... if I remember correctly!

I was thinking of Tebow, the adorable little blue dwarf someone on this board adopted from Steph!

Oh, and I just remembered, I believe this dog is cross-eyed, to boot! And that truly endears her to Steph, though, as she said she can relate (because of her accident). The dog, I think her name was, Maggie? She'd never let me get close enough to touch.

I do remember that dwarf pup! He was lucky to be adopted by his new, good owners. He sure is a cutie.

Did Steph ever get any sight back in the injured eye?

I do believe she said she can see some, but not like she did, and she has lingering other effects at times. She looks great though! Gosh, I remember that photo, still! OUCH.

Ah, guys that reminds me, she has a pic of a white GSD she bred that supposedly has blue eyes too.
