We had to rush Digby Dogbi to the emergency vet Friday night, he was panting, pale and clearly in abdominal pain with some swelling of the abdomen so the first thought was torsion. Turned out to be a bleeding ruptured tumour on his spleen which has now been removed and hopefully it has not spread.
He came home the next morning surprisingly bright considering the long operation and loss of blood, he's 11 so not a youngster to undergo this, and I am hopeful for a full recovery, I was near hysteria, especially since my own vet was not available and I had to trust strangers.
He looks pretty strange with his belly and genitals all shaved with a eight inch zipper up the middle and was sporting a rather fetching bandage on his forearm with blue paw prints on it. You would never guess he had been so close to deaths door and had such major surgery, the only thing that seems to be troubling him is razor rash.

Hey, Deb....
The clothes do not make the man...er, dog. LOL!
That said, I'm glad he's doing good, and I hope he has a full recovery. What a camera ham! I love his expression.

Just got the biopsy result and there is no sign of malignant tumour cells so hopefully he will be fine, he certainly seems to feel fine, though still a bit tender, he isn't doing his Digby roll on his back yet or stretching properly, here's an old video of himhe is chattng up the bitches and bickering with other dogs through the gate. Here's an old video of him.

Glad your Digby Dogbi is doing well and there's no sign of malignant tumour cells.
He looks remarkably well in the photo despite what he went through, he also looks great for 11!
Hope he continues to get better and is soon rolling around again.
