After taking a second glance I realize you are not Carlos and are not the one instigating the "witch hunt", but please email Carlos that link, and for that I apologize. It is likely Carlos and the other people caused the dysplastic hips themselves. Twenty years from now when we are genetically engineering our dogs CHD will finally be greatly reduced.

I think it is more than just the bad hips. It is the service or lack of from the breeder.
I will send the link to Carlos though.
This is not likely a witch hunt as it is a warning for others to be careful. I am sure other's on here know/heard of bad things about this kennel.
Thanks for you input though.

I know , I know the contract says....... another puppy etc and lets cut the crap all that is another way of not having to be responsible.
If the dog has bad hips,it happens make it right. I am sure at $3500 a pop there is a profit margin built in to cover a refund.
Do not always assume that the buyer did it get facts and fix it.

The buyer and breeder signed a contract. The time to question the contract provisions was at the time of purchase. Do your research before not after you buy the puppy. HD is genetic, environment can play a roll but if the genetics aren't there, no HD. Even when a breeder does everything possible to prevent genetic problems, they happen, this is a living thing, not a car or toaster. Most responsible breeders are just as heartbroken, if not more, when a puppy they have breed developes a genetic problem. This is where the contract comes into play. If you signed a contract which states nothing about a refund but does state you get a replacement puppy, how can you now slam the breeder for not giving you a refund.
Again, I am not defending any particular breeder but we do need to be fair. Why do we believe that we can willingly sign a contract but when something doesn't go our way, we have the right to demand the breeder do whatever we want to make it right? This cannot be made right. You bought a puppy and you were filled with promise and hope. You fell in love and now are looking a a hugge financial cost to help your beloved dog. We have all been there. It is part of life.
Anyone who wants a full or partical refund should negociate that as part of the contract before signing it.

I am not a breeder, I have 2 years old Boy and 7 month girl, When I've purchase my Boy he was at 3 and half month old. I've clearly stated, i am looking for Show Line dog and breeder offered me from very great line a puppy. She leaves 5 hours away from me, originally I came for other puppy, but decided to buy the puppy she offered me with the strong show line. at first, on the way back home we stopped by The Beleville, ON PetsMart to get food and other for my puppy, and puppy right in store had bloody diarrhea. I've called to the seller, and she said might be a driving stress or so. So we arrieved to Toronto and went to 24 hour Vet, spend almost $300 for check up and flea and other parrasites treats. in couple of month of treating he start having a normal crap. but still today he has a very weak stomach. Later on in 4-5 month i've noticed 1 ear went down and since that it is down. of cource I've done all vet check and etc.etc. nothing to do with inffections or injury. 2 vets had no answer to it. well, 4-5 month was enough for me and my family to fall in love with our "pet" so we didnt think of replacement. also i've found out from different sources , father of my puppy, Legendary 2xVA producing with weak ears. btw 2 puppies including my same issue. When I've called to person I've bought a puppy from to tell about it, she just said, well unfortunatly she herself recently found out about this guy produces with weak ear, she is sorry. honestly, I felt bad to ask for a few bucks to return back to me as of compensation, reason: I am superstitious, I didnt want anything to hapend to my dog after. But it is me, and my personal desission. Of course it is nothing comparring to some serious health issues dog may have, but for me it was a little frastration, unexpected outcome. I am happy we have him, not happy that my dream about him didnt go through.
So I am on the side of Katsgsds. Even though, I also support the feelings of Unhappy customers.
