Hello Everyone,
I did a search for this topic and I could not locate anything. . I use some hand commands. I would like to incorporate hand commands for most, if not all of the verbal commands. Can someone suggest a book that indicates how to correctly use the hand commands, or is there a website that someone might be aware of? I did a google search and I found one that uses hand commands for teaching deaf dogs. I am sure it is pretty much the same, but I wanted to go ahead and other GSD owners for any input I can get on this subject.

You can teach hand commands right along with verbal and many dogs actually respond faster to the hand signals. You can use what ever hand signals you feel comfortable with though there are "formal" hand signals as well.
