Bought a dog and they checked on shipping from Praque.  The quote was 990 Euro.  I paid for everything.  Well now the rules changed and Delta can't ship so the shipping company contacted me and said they would take the dog to Frankfurt but I would have to pay another 200 Euro (shipping 1100 Euro +80 Euro for gas).   agreed!  Now the dog is in Frankfurt and I am being told I will have to pay another 355- 715 Euro.
Pretty simple if I want my dog I have to pay it, right?
However, he said 80 Euro for gas and 120 Euro for the difference in shipping.  He only paid the other shipping company 755 Euro and kept 235 Euro for himself.
Now I am being told the airfare is 1100 Euro but they may have to ship him in another bigger crate that will increase it to 1470 Euro.
How can they do that?  How can this shipping company tell me they will need 80 for gas which I agreed to take 235 Euro for gas?

Are you talking to people directly?  You have a dog sitting in Frankfurt right now?

Yes, the dog is in Frankfurt.  Yes, I talked to them directly.  The shipping company in Frankfurt has been super nice.  The man from the Czech Republic has also been very nice and I am easy to work with and never encountered this problem.  However, now the man (shipping company) from the Czech Republic will not contact me.  He dropped off the dog and partial payment....

The original was http://www.jinopo.cz/petair/index_en.htm .  The dog is at Pet Air now

maybe start working with some different people , if shippingcompany gives you a price they will and have to send the dog for offered price , your only option right now is pay, or let the seller go to frankfurt and pick up the dog

airlines need money so they push you to use bigger crate ,telling you its for animal wellfare, all you need to do is use different crate which will backfire on the airlines, because it will actually be a little cheaper
good luck

If you have the ability to stop funds to the CZ person and deal with him later....move the dog through.  Not sure what company you are using in Germany, but it should be a seemless thing.  Sounds to me that the job has been dumped in Germany.  That is what I would do, stop funds...pay and move the dog through.

I already prepaid the seller and they prepaid everything.  I just got in touch with the seller and they are very upset also.  I have no problem covering the gas money but to pocket 235 Euros is crazy.
I hope they will work it out.  As I will not stand for that.  I will post and update to let everyone know if things have been resolved.

if your seller told gradylin to take care of transportation you have to paytheir fee ,
anyhow , if you cant solve, I can pick up the dog for you if needet and take care of things

pet air is good, I have feeling the changes happened after the original reservation. I think Peter had to juggle things around and in order to ship the dog at the right time the cost became larger. The Gas to Frankfurt is about $250 round trip if he had to make a quick trip to Germany with only one dog, 5 hours drive one way, possible hotel room.. it adds up. If the airline wants the dog in a bigger crate shipper has to pretty much yeld.

I think he found himself in a pickle dealing with airlines to make it work.

Let us know how it works out. Let Duke help if he can.

Good luck.
