Just wondering if the German or for that matter American judges have ever put up a GSD that weighed 100 or more pounds........I know that height seems pretty precise when it comes to the standard, and I understand a dog should not weigh more than 88 pounds or there about....

IF the dog is not an excellent example of the breed standard he shouldn't get a show rating at all!
Standard says:
Males : 60-65 cm, 30-40 kg
Females: 55-60 cm, 22-32 kg

I know of several who are/were V rated but 100lbs. Weight is a silly thing to go by if the dog fits the standard (or close to it) size-wise. Bone and muscle can make a big difference in weight.

It depends on feeding and exercise also. Some feed them a lot and if the dog doesn't get much exercise, then the dog will be over weight even he/she is a V rated dog.

My guess would be yes.
The process is corrupted by money and politics, influence peddling.
The standard is there for a reason, it is the breed, anything else is a flaw.

Plenty of "V" rated 100+ pounders, just as there are oversize/height "V" rated dogs.
It's not unusual or unheardof.
