Hello.  I am looking to import a female German Shepherd from Germany or Belgium.  Any suggestions on kennels?  I am new to the import thing.  I heard some horror stories from others so I was trying to find the right person to go with.  Thanks.

I suggest you PM Steve1, he's living in Belgium and knows the good reliable breeders there and he can advise you, he recently bought a puppy from Germany from some of the best work bloodlines and I think at a very reasonable price for such a quality.

What lines?  If working line, I recommend Rinus Bastiaansen in Belgium.  I know several people in the USA who have puppies from him and are very happy with their dogs and the buying process.  Very fair price, shipping without a hitch (and didn't need to use a broker or anything like that, he knows what he's doing with shipping).

In Belgium, I can recommend Mark Liers, Haus Targa kennel.  I got a fantastic bitch from him and he is an honest and helpful man to deal with, he also knows what he is doing and will give you good advice.
