68Kilo

Hello I'm pretty new to this forum and just wanted to ask your opinion of my dog Kali.  She is four years old now and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old.  She looked like a pretty normal German shepherd puppy to me (she did have two white male littermates though), and I also got to see both of her parents. I constantly get asked what she is mixed with.  Now that she is an adult she still looks like a German shepherd, but she is super tall and super skinny.  I haven't measure her height, but she weights 85 lbs and as you can see from some of her pictures is super thin, which only means that she is pretty tall.  Anyway so I just wanted your opinions.  Mixes breed or not I love her all the same, but I do get very irritated when people constantly ask me what she is mixed with.  I will post three pictures.  First one of her as a lil puppy, second on of her as a young pup, and third one of her as an adult.  Here is the first one.

In this one she is about two years old.  Very thin frame.  We do lead a very active lifestyle, but still....  Will post one final one and hope someone with much more knowledge than me about German shepherds will give me their opinion.  Thanks in advance! :)

Well, she looks purebred to me.  My neighbour has a showline that is tall, I'm guessing 27 inches or more and it is a purebred.
However, she could also be a King Shepherd, maybe?

Well she is way taller than I remember either of her parents being.  People often ask me if she is mixed with greyhound....I have taken her to the vet and the vet has said she is in great shape and isn't underweight for her height.  She doesn't have a deep chest or anything else like I remember my shepherds having when I was young.  Here is my last picture.  Figure with the sideview it may help some.  She is about two years old in the top picture and 4 years old in the bottom picture.  Thanks for your response!

Looks pure GSD also. She has a very pretty face and looks like a very happy girl.  Enjoy her!

Thanks, I do enjoy her very much!  We used to have a house, but as I am in the army and got stationed in Germany (and yes I paid to fly her with me) she no longer has a yard.  But we replace that with long games of frisbee and even longer bike rides....oh and fun training mixed in there somewhere :).  I believe my dog has travelled to more countries than most people....5 so far here in Europe alone! :)

Did you have her spayed and at what age. If young, then this can deffinitely affect growth, if not then I don't know. She looks like a GSD
but I'd almost like to say she is the shape of a Malinois. Of course, just a guess.

Doesn't look like a Mali to me at all. Certainly looks full shepherd though. Maybe a King Shepherd in the bloodline somewhere. I have a female king shepherd and she looks very thin and tall when she is out of coat. I think you should enjoy your dog and not worry about it. JMOwink

She looks full shepherd to me also.  I have a female that is also very tall and thin.  I had her spayed at 3 and it did not calm her down at all or affect her weight.  Mine has no show lines in her, but she is very tall for a female, neither of her parents are overly tall.  No king shepherd in her lines she's just a tall girl.  Sounds like yours has every reason to look happy, always nice to hear when a gsd finds an owner like you! Congrats on doing a such a good job w her!
