Near where we live they have a yearly Dog Event that attracts thousands. This year the Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog group invited 4 State Police Handlers and their canines. Since we donated more than enough to buy a vest we were invited and we met for around 45 minutes with the handlers and dogs. Here are a few pictures.

All 4 units arrived together:
Trooper Pillsbury with Brit.
All 4 handlers with Brit. One of the officers didn't want to get to close to Brit. (He said he was the decoy and preferred to keep his distance)
I'm 6' tall and these guys were all over two inches taller. I said never mind the dogs, who would screw with the handlers? You all look like you could play for the New England Patriots. That drew quite a laugh.
Here is one of the new form fitted tactical vests, has attachments to lower the dog also. These are used by the Swat Teams and about three times as much $$$ as the regular vests.
They performed different demonstrations and were very warmly received. Super nice people. Couldn't have been more cordial to my wife and I. We had a great time.

There were 4 handlers and 4 Dogs. They only took one dog out of the car at a time. There were three GSDs and one Mal.
All four troopers were well spoken, well educated, huge and very friendly. I think they accomplished a great PR meeting with the public. Everyone there was a dog lover, so they were playing the right audience.
Of course right in the middle of the demonstrations a girl around 12 yrs old says to her father I want to see one of the dogs up close. So she puts her face up against the back window of one of the cruisers. Needless to say she was backpedaling about 2 seconds later after a couple of loud barks went her way. I was about 10' away shaking my head.
