RIP, Snoopy. Fantastic dog I would've loved to have met. I am proud and lucky to own his beautiful daughter, V Capri vom Hagenberg, who I've been told resembles her old man in her intensity.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Sid, his littermate, and I was extremely impressed with him.

VERY NICE DOGS-the epitome of "the total package."
I have a puppy out of Capri and he is an absolutely fanatastic dog in every way and he is VERY INTENSE, but yet, very balanced.  Ask Jenn about him/ and the lines

I think you will need to be much more specific, both kennels are commercial breeders

Fasanarie has 619 dog registered on working dog eu

Cherusker has 229 dogs registered

These figure are taken from the site and i am sure ther will be twic as many not registered

Fasanarie is the Kennel of Eugen Ecker (he is now with RSV 2000)

Note the spelling on the Cherusker kennel

I'm afraid I don't much more than my personal experience w/my own daughter of a Fasanerie dog and the others I have met from very similar lines. Larry Filo or Angie Fink (Steinig Tal Kennels in Wisconsin) could tell you more about Capri's sire and his littermate.

Thanks everyone,

Reason: Valco von der Fasanerie a son of Chicco and Bonnie Fasanerie is one and Erie vom Cherusker a Wasco von der Cherusker daughter. these are in a pedigree I am looking at and didn't really know the names of both these kennels, I am interested to find out a little more about them.

Sue,
You should post a pedigree so those on here can give you a read of your pedigree. Mind you, the pedigree only tells what the dog should be and only the dog can tell you what it is...............................Richard

My bitch: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=578580&p=5-generation-pedigree

This is the male I'm doing a repeat breeding with. He is also heavy on Fasanerie lines, as you can see. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=498359&p=5-generation-pedigree

If these two are typical examples, then I'd say the lines bring intensity, seriousness, early natural aggression, and high biddability. I love both these dogs (Chico belongs to Steinig Tal in Wisconsin, who I mentioned in my original reply) and their offspring were absolutely great and are doing VERY well for their age. I was so happy with them that I redid it and am anxiously awaiting the new ones...any day now!

I'm sorry I don't have more "intellectual" information on them. I only know what I have seen.

Sue

You should post a link to a pedigree its hard to give any opinion on a pedigree which has x no of dogs when only 2 are mentioned

Do you know enough now!
