Hi,Dixie is about 6 years old but she still acts like a puppy,we live in Florida and she needs a new home or unfortunately I will be forced to take her to the humane society.She is totally house broken but she can not be around small animals such as tiny dogs,cats,birds and things of that nature.I have had her for just over a year and she is WONDERFUL with children.The only reaosn I need to find a new home for her is because our home is in the process of going into foreclosure and I do not want to wait until the last minute to know she will be in a safe and happy home.It would be best to call me at 386-283-2148 and ask for Donna.

I would notify your local rescue group also, they might have someone interested that is waiting for just the right girl.  She sounds lovely so don't wait to notify them, do it now for best results.  Sometimes these things take time.  Nan  Best of luck with finding her the right home.

I'm sorry about you losing your home jstmee, how sad.  She is a very pretty girl, all the best in finding her a home. :)

Sorry about the situation your in. We are all closer than we think to your situation. If I have to live in my truck, my GSD's are too. Anyway, best of luck finding the right home for her. If I come up with someone, I will contact you.   Take Care   Pete

Have you checked with Central Florida Rescue?  If they do not have room for her they may be able to help you by posting a courtesy listing and helping you screen potential owners.

I suggest giving more details, such as good or not with kids, other dogs, cats, any obedience training, etc. It will help. Good luck.
