Hi Everyone,

First time posting.  I have a Kraftwerk K9 Black German Shepherd from a K littler, two years ago this September.  Sister to Kairo, Kleo, etc.  I was just wondering if anyone has a litter mate and how they are doing.  I am curious about size, personality, intelligence, protection, agility, drive, and overall health.  I've had my girl for a year and a half now. She had serious leg deformities that were obvious within her first two weeks with us.  I don't need to go into how Kraftwerk handled the situation, you've heard all the complaints before.

I'd just like to know how her brothers and sisters may have faired or if she had a terrible accident as a small pup that may have left her with this deformity (if anyone would know that that used to work there.)  She was never posted on the actual website for sale and her litter went fast.  (So I'm told - I lost out on two other dogs in one day)  I should mention she did undergo major surgery and has long recovered, she is also strangely human in her snuggling abilities and the fastest shepherd we have ever seen or owned...

If anyone has some info or a similar exerience I'd love to hear from you!  Thanks.

You might specify the parent's names, because as I recall, Kraftwerk went through the alphabet a couple times each year.  For all the massive amounts of puppies they produced, there are remarkably very few that have been publicized in forums, clubsites, breeder sites, etc.  Leaves me wondering if they have an incinerator on that fancy setup, since no one else seems to know where they all go.

I could not agree more.

They go to pet homes if they're not frozen or incinerated. I've run into several in my travels. I've seen a few at the vet's, seen a few sent off for training, etc. People who buy from them don't know about forums or other places you'd hear from them, because if they did, they wouldn't buy one. One I know personally was sold to a doctor w/no dog experience. Guess who didn't stay in that home???? LOL  Nice dog, btw. Sure wouldn't pay 2500 for it from Wayne Curry, but a nice dog nonetheless. I mean, when you churn thousands out, a few have to be nice...it's just statistics and probability.

Absolutely, you'd need to specify who the parents are, what year, etc. I can't begin to guess how many "K" litters they had.

As said before, it is hard to believe that so many pups are produced from this kennel each and ever year, yet we see hardly any in SchH. and/or other sports.  What is also mind blowing is he does seem to use very nice Sires and Dams, why such crappy progeny?
I am interested to see a photo of your dog and her leg deformities.
I'm glad to hear that your dog is doing well now and I hope she lives a long, healthy, pain free life.

The only dogs I've seen have been very nice, actually.

Same here Jenni78, I have seen many puppies and they have been strong, healthy, outgoing, confident and most people that buy them just want great family pets, not really competition people because of the price of his puppies, I sopose! A lot of people don't buy just one, they get one then at least one more down the road because they have been so happy with them. Some do compete with them and do very well!

I will probably get some grief for this but oh well, I worked for Wayne for about 1.5yrs and he did produce lots of puppies, sold all of them and truely gets very few complaints about the puppies, some health issues pop up just like with any other breeder, if you follow his contract he will do the right thing by the contract as a lot of people do! He also has a very large staff to take care of all of the dogs and puppies, if anything the dogs tend to run a little on the heavy side because they eat so well! I haven't been there since 2006 so can't say how things are now, but just what I saw regarding puppies when I was there.

"if you follow his contract he will do the right thing by the contract as a lot of people do!"

This thread just went from tropical depression to potential Category 5 hurricane, LOL.

Donald Deluxe HAHAHAH, you said it well.

Trouble97  If he doesn't get many complaints why are there so many on the internet, and why do they have so many problems with him not answering calls, emails, or doing the right thing according to the "contract".  All Wayne is, is a big money making puppy mill.  Selling puppies for that kind of price leads the blind, uneducated public to thinking they're getting this fantastic quality pet (since most won't be working their dog anyway).   That's how a lot of people are in general.....oh, well this cost $600 more, it must be a better (just an example) lawn mower than that one over there.  You could relate it to most anything, many people will always believe that the more something cost, the better it is.   And if darylehret is right about Wayne going through the alphabet a couple times a year.....that's just sad.
