Hi,

I've just read the Jemima Harrison thread and someone mentioned that the OP was new to the board and should introduce herself. As I am also new and haven't introduced myself properly (can't find a section to put it in) I thought I'd do it now.

My name is Laura J. Greco de Bove Moses and I live in Birmingham, UK with my 6 year old Son (he'll be 7 in a few weeks) and 4 dogs (3 GSDs, 1 Longdog).

My dogs are :

Zane - neutered, black & tan male GSD, 3 years 7 months old
Yiannis - neutered, black & tan male GSD, 2 years 9 months old
Jenzi - to be speyed, black & gold/white sable female GSD, 18 months old
Tashi - to be speyed, wheaten Longdog, 18 months old

I currently cannot work due to disability but refuse to allow my dogs to miss out on their exercise and routines; although I dobelieve in changing things around sometimes to make them think.

Biography :
I was born on 25th December, 1973 and spent the first 4 years of my life in Calpe, Alicante, Spain. I went to school in Birmingham as my parents believed at the time that the English education system was one of the best in the world. I have cousins however who are the same age as myself and my younger brother who remained in Spain, went to school their following the american education system and came to the UK to go to University. So the end result was the same.
I now go to Spain as often as I can afford to and will live there permanently again one day (most likely when my Son is an adult).

After school I studied Chemistry at Warwick Unversity, Coventry, UK. I then went to work as an Industrial Chemist during which time I had a nasty accident at work as a result of a lcak of health and safety. I sued the company for personal injury and took a lot of money off them. I became very interested in the law and the legal system and so I enrolled on a part time law degree course. I had to study in the evenings so I could work during the daytime. I also enjoyed studying and have obtained more qualifications over time in law, criminal justice, business and public admin.

After leaving the chemical industry I went to work for the local authority as an Enforcement Officer for the Planning Department. I left due to being bullied by my Manager at the time and decided to be a contractor meaning I had to set up a fully limited company and work self employed. I contracted for a while, carrying out exactly the same job for about 3 times the amount of money!  Unfortunately I completed the work sooner than was expected so the contract was ended.

I then set up a legal advisory service for those who could not afford solicitors fees. This is still going strong and has been very lucrative.

I now attend primary schools with my dogs (all extra training has been done, liability insurances are in place, health and safety is considered, dynamic risk assessments are available etc) in order to teach young childrenhow to remain safe around dogs. i started this as there is an increasing number of strikes, nips, bites and attacks by dogs on children and for the most part I believe the children (or rather their parents) are at fault. Of course this isn't always the case but 99% of these incidents in the UK are occurring when a child is left alne with a dog! it's always the dog who will lose out.

So that' s it. That's me. Boring I know but atleast you all knwo who I am now.

Take care,

Laura xx

Welcome to the forum Laura, and FYI you don't sound the least bit booring, sounds to me you are probably quite the opposite!!   This is off topic but when I added the smiley face, I noticed there is one that appears to be picking his nose? What in the world do you use that for?
